An office allegedly used for cyber scams here was found abandoned when authorities arrived to enforce a closure order on Tuesday, May 20.
Personnel of the Business Permit and Licensing Office enforced the closure order against BMJ Data Processing Services.
The office in Barangay Kasambagan was described as a scam hub in an expose by a YouTuber, a foreign hacker who was able to access the company's system.
According to the hacker, the company victimized foreigners who were duped into shelling out cash for an investment that turned out to be a scam.
