NGCP targets 7 projects

As the grid operator continues to ramp up its facility upgrades and expansions, National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) has slated seven key transmission projects for completion this year.
NGCP said on Thursday, Feb. 12, that it has scheduled several transmission line developments for completion in 2026, namely the P1.9-billion Amlan-Dumaguete 138-kilovolt (kV) transmission line, P2.4-billion Tuguegarao-Lal-lo (Magapit) 230-kV line, and stage one of the Tuy 500/230-kV substation project.
The Tuy project, which is a component of the Tuy-Dasmarifias 500-kV line, costs P8.1 billion.
The P4.2-billion Nabas-Caticlan-Boracay 138-kV transmission line project and P757.98-million Tacurong-Kala-mansig 69-kV transmission project are also expected to wrap up this year.
