New ambulances to boost rural healthcare in Mindanao

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the distribution of 229 Patient Transport Vehicles (PTVs) across Mindanao, underscoring his administration’s push to deliver basic healthcare services to far-flung and underserved communities.

“This is something that we are very, very confident will make a big difference in our healthcare system,” the President said in his speech during the turnover ceremony in Butuan City on Friday, Oct. 24.

“At the very basic, if you do not have a healthy population, you cannot have a happy population. And that is what we need to do. We have to bring healthcare down to the people,” he added.
