Mom, son nabbed for selling smuggled cooking oil in Isabela

The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) arrested a 47-year-old Indian woman and her 22-year-old son for allegedly selling smuggled cooking oil during a buy-bust operation in Santiago City, Isabela.
CIDG Director Police Brig. Gen. Romeo J. Macapaz said the operation also resulted in the confiscation of 273 containers of cooking oil worth P1.3 million.
Macapaz said the operation stemmed from confirmed intelligence reports about the illegal activities involving the selling of smuggled oil.
