Jackie Lou Blanco on Ricky Davao: 'The love will always be there'

In his final hours, actor-director Ricky Davao was not alone.
He was at home, surrounded by the people he loved.
Actress Jackie Lou Blanco, who remained Ricky's legal wife since their separation in 2011, shared that Ricky requested to have "quality of life" during his last months.
"He said he wanted to spend more time with the children and grandchildren. The kids would spend time with him in the hospital, and his friends would visit. Towards the end, he was sleeping more because of the medicines," the actress said when interviewed during the wake at Heritage Chapels in Taguig City.
Jackie Lou revealed that since the last quarter of 2024, Ricky had been battling late-stage lymphoma, a type of cancer that damaged his lymph nodes.
