Fire breaks out at Senate building; documents safe

Fire broke out in one of the offices of the Senate in Diokno Boulevard, Pasay City on Sunday, Nov. 30.
Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III said that all documents of the Senate, including those of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee are intact and safe.
Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) officials said the blaze started at the office of the Legislative Technical Affairs Bureau director located on the 3rd floor of the building.
Officials reported that the fire was raised to the first alarm at around 6:50 a.m. and reached the second alarm at 6:58 a.m.
