Filipino-Chinese businessmen can rely on the House of Representatives to continue as its partner in achieving sustainable, inclusive economic growth for the country.

- ELLSON QUISMORIO

This was the gist of House Speaker Martin Romualdez's remarks at the 34th biennial convention dinner of the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) Friday night, April 4, where he hailed them for helping shape the country's future.

"Your hard work is helping build a better, stronger, and more united Philippines," he told the FilipinoChinese businessmen.

"As Speaker of the House, I assure you of our continued support.

Together with President Marcos, we will continue to work hand-in-hand with the private sector to create the conditions for inclusive, sustainable, and innovation-led growth," Romualdez said.

Around 800 delegates led by the group's president, Cecilio Pedro, attended the event.

The Speaker commended the federation for its contributions to national development and its "enduring commitment to nationbuilding through entrepreneurship, civic involvement, and cultural solidarity." Romualdez said the country, under the leadership of President Marcos, has posted solid economic gains despite global uncertainties.
