DigiPlus targets South Africa

Manila Bulletin

|

September 25, 2025

Just after the launch of its operations in Brazil, the Philippines’ premier online gaming firm DigiPlus Interactive Corp. is now seeking to expand to South Africa and has formally filed its license applications with the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board (WCGRB).

- By JAMES A. LOYOLA

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), the Tanco-led firm said this move advances DigiPlus’ entry into one of the most promising regulated online gaming markets globally.

DigiPlus said it has applied for three operator licenses in South Africa: a national manufacturer license, a bookmaker license, and a bookmaker premises license.

WCGRB is regarded as the preferred jurisdiction for international operators like DigiPlus due to its transparent regulatory processes and digital readiness.

Target locked

After winning a beauty contest, Pretty Face (PF) discovered a whole new world waiting for her. She spread her wings and ventured into projects that allowed her to develop her other talents. PF proved she was more than just a pretty face. She could act, and before long she was taking on both protagonist and antagonist roles. Clearly, there was life after pageantry.
