Baricuatro backs ₱20 per kilo rice

After opposing the controversial ₱20-per-kilo rice program during the campaign period, Cebu governor-elect Pamela Baricuatro has changed tune and is now open to supporting the initiative.
Baricuatro said she will support the program and depending on the budget, will expand it by making it more accessible to Cebuanos.
“I want everyone to have access to the ₱20-per-kilo rice. It should not be selective,” Baricuatro told reporters after her oathtaking on Thursday, May 22.
