Stars came down for the 73rd Famas Awards at the Manila Hotel on Friday, Aug. 22, as Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda, Rep. Arjo Atayde, and Marian Rivera won top acting honors.
“Nakakaloka! (This is crazy),” said Vice Ganda when he accepted the Famas trophy.
Vice Ganda continued: “I just came here to celebrate my nomination with Director Jun Lana because this is my first movie to be nominated for Best Picture at Famas.”
“After we did ‘And The Breadwinner Is..." I told myself that every award-giving body that nominates us, I'm going to attend. I'm really proud of the movie and I embrace all the nominations that are given to us," he said.
It was the second Famas trophy for Vice Ganda. In 2018, Vice Ganda received the first Dolphy Memorial Award, which his mother accepted on behalf of her son.
"I'm here because I'm proud to be nominated. Then I won. Thank you, Famas, for making me the first blonde, fully made up, and in a black gown to receive the Best Actor award.
