4 Negros Island LGUs to receive P204 M for Kanlaon response

Four local government units (LGUs) in Negros Island are set to receive P203.8 million in additional funding from the national government to support ongoing response efforts related to Kanlaon Volcano.
This was announced by Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Undersecretary Ariel Nepomuceno during a press briefing in Bacolod City on Thursday, May 1, following his visit to Kanlaon-affected areas in Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental.
Himamaylan City will receive P62.5 million, P63.1 million for La Carlota City, and P48.5 million for La Castellana, all in Negros Occidental, and P29.7 million for Canlaon City in Negros Oriental.
