13th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit opens its doors

The 13th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS) has opened its doors, staged at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City until October 25, 2025. Organized by the Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP), the summit aims to put to the spotlight on sustainable mobility and push for massive local adoption of electric vehicles (EVs).

With the theme “Charge Ahead, Ignite the EVolution,” PEVS 2025 is also keeping its tradition of showcasing the latest innovations, technologies, and models from various EV brands.

EVAP is presenting PEVS 2025 with partners BYD Cars Philippines, Omoda & Jaecoo Motor Philippines Inc, United Asia Automotive Group Inc (UAAGI), GAC Motor, and the Department of Energy.

No doubt, many are already aware that the PEVS serves as the launch venue for several notable electrified vehicles.

Among them is the BYD eMAX 9 DM-I, designed for families who value safety, comfort, and durability. This midsize MPV is designed to appeal to those who seek premium experiences and modern practicality.

It boasts of features like hands-free power side doors and tailgate, a builtin refrigerator to keep drinks perfectly chilled, and a tri-zone cooling system. It has a seven-seat cabin available in two variants: Premium and Advanced. Both variants feature premium leather interiors, both accented by ambient lighting that enhances its upscale atmosphere.
