Venue to close doors ahead of food revamp

A POPULAR Manchester venue is set to close its doors this Christmas ahead of a major undertaking which will see it reopen next year as a new food hall.

Ducie Street Warehouse is situated in the former London Warehouse building in the city centre, near Piccadilly Train Station, which was built in 1867 to store cotton bales for the cotton trade. Initially intended for use by the Manchester, Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway (MS&LR), the Grade II-listed building has recently become known for its 194-bed aparthotel, restaurants, gym and bar.
