United make ‘checks’ on a possible Dave return

DAVID de Gea has sensationally been linked with a return to United two years after leaving the club.

United are reportedly making ‘checks’ into the Spaniard of whom it is said can leave Fiorentina for a small amount.

That has supposedly alerted Old Trafford chiefs, who could seek to spring a reunion amid troubles in the goalkeeping department.

Ruben Amorim's first-choice Andre Onana missed preseason with a hamstring injury but recovered in time for Sunday's Premier League opener vs Arsenal. He was not given the nod with Altay Bayindir selected instead.
