RYAN Giggs has suggested Ruben Amorim demanded attention from the club's board when he said his United are 'maybe the worst side in the club's history'.

- By STEVEN RAILSTON

The Reds have endured an abysmal Premier League season and winning the Europa League against Tottenham Hotspur at the Estadio de San Mames is the only way to salvage 2024/2025.

Amorim has spoken honestly about his players since his appointment in November and he made headlines in January when he said his team are 'maybe the worst in the club's history'.

United are guaranteed to record their lowest-ever points total in the Premier League this season. They suffered a 17th defeat of the campaign to West Ham last weekend and will face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge before they prepare to take on Tottenham in the Europa League final.

Giggs recently spoke to Webby & O'Neill and he discussed Amorim's controversial comment.
