PRIVATE HIRE DRIVER HAS LICENCE REVOKED OVER £35 FOUR-MILE JOURNE

The fare was picked up outside Old Trafford
A PRIVATE hire taxi driver has had his licence revoked after he illegally picked up a fare outside Old Trafford and charged £35 for a four-mile journey.
Rehan Mirza, 42, was waiting in his Mercedes at the black cab rank on Sir Matt Busby Way after United’s Premier League match against Leicester City on November 10 last year. He picked up a United fan, and his seven-year-old son, and took them to Piccadilly Station.
Mirza insisted the journey had cost £35.
