I want to be United boss until I'm 60

AMORIM WANTS TO STAY FOR THE LONG-TERM

RUBEN Amorim wants to remain in charge of Manchester United until he is 60.

Amorim, who turned 40 in January, was appointed head coach in November and United went on to endure their worst season in 51 years.

However, the club have enjoyed a buoyant preseason and Amorim is 'confident' about his first full campaign in charge at Old Trafford.

"When I see team training and team playing, my humour - you call it humour - it goes with the team," he explained. "If I feel that everything is aligned, I feel more excited. If I feel more excited, I see more video, I see more football, I have more ideas. So I'm really confident in this moment.

"I want to stay. I want to stay 20 (years). That is my goal and I truly believe in that. Something will happen. Always do.
