A FORMER GMP officer who sent a string of obscene WhatsApp messages during a work conference has been barred from policing.

Pc John Byrne, referring to a probation officer, wrote: "I am going to roofie the f*** out of her."

A disciplinary tribunal held yesterday heard of other vile messages. "I think I want to wear her face as a mask," Mr Byrne wrote. He also messaged: "Don't be alarmed she won't feel a thing."

In another message Mr Byrne made reference to performing oral sex on the probation officer, who was also attending the conference.
