DOUBTS REMAIN OVER SALFORD GAME

SALFORD have named an updated ‘sustainability cap’ squad for tonight's trip to Castleford - but question marks remain as to whether the match will actually go ahead.

The Red Devils are back under the £1.2m salary cap restrictions that were in place for the opening round defeat to St Helens after the club failed to pay players and staff their February salaries as scheduled.

At time of writing, those monies are still owed and there have been strong suggestions that members of the playing group may refuse to take to the field if the payments have not been received ahead of kick off.
