What do you think the people listening to him think he wants? Perhaps he’s angry or maybe he’s frightened?

This character, for those who don’t know, is the Spanish Waiter from Fawlty Towers.

Back in the late 70s everyone who knew him as Manuel but as he spoke only Spanish no one had any idea what he was saying.

Nevertheless he was a major character in the hotel where he worked.

Hotel owner Basil Fawlty was constantly yelling at Manuel but it made absolutely no difference.

Mr Fawlty didn’t understand Spanish and Manuel spoke no English and constant chaos was their modus operandi.
