IN an important game between two sides in the top section of Division A, skipper Miles Horner won the toss for Macc Thirds and asked visitors Warrington to bat first.

Warrington got off to a decent start with opening bats Siddiqui and Alam making good progress.
Macc opening bowler Suneesh Muraleedharan got the first breakthrough, having Alam caught by Harry Owens for 23.
Horner brought himself on as first change and he made other inroads, trapping Usman lbw for 3, then dismissing Siddiqui thanks to a second catch by Owens.
Warrington's Javed and Qayum offered resistance in the middle order, scoring 28 and 49 respectively, but Macc were able to keep taking wickets to limit the scoring rate.
