MACCLESFIELD ladies enjoyed some excellent weather and course conditions and Sue Collins led in their latest Stableford with a great haul of 42 from Kay Atkins who won a cpo on 35 from Julia Dunne, one more than June Sumner, Jean Duncan and Lady Captain Hilary Elsworth.

The nine-hole winner was Sue Lawton after a cpo on 16 with Chris Gleaves.

Macc ladies also played an exchange with Alsager and the winning team was Judy Mutter, Jill Hunter Blench and Joy Clements with 78 led by a birdie from Jill who chipped in for a four for five points on the par 5 16th.

Macc’s men played for the ‘major’ Fred Daly Cup and the proud winner was Michael Gibb after a cpo on 65 from Tom Mauro, one less than Garry Tomlinson.

The second round of the Hospital Trophy at Alderley Edge was won by Janette Smith 65 from Sean Hall 66 and Gareth Pritchard and Andrew Hogg, both 67.

A 9-hole Stableford at Alderley needed a cpo on 17 to see Andrew Stokes home from Adam Gutteridge.

The Running Stableford at Tytherington was won by Peter Bailey 40, one more than David Ridley and Jane Brannan.A Midweek Stableford at Tytehrington was won by Nicholas Coleman 70, two less than Gary Butler and Sean McLaughlin.

The Silk Salver Board Stableford at Tytherington was close with Matthew Crabbe 39 winning by a point from Jonathan Ball and Will Almand-Smith.

Tytherington ladies played their MDLGA Bunty Booth qualifier and it was led in by Mary Harris 41 from Kathryn Townson and Jacqui Bickerton, both 39.

Prestbury’s men played for the Jubilee Vase and Scott Straughan led in with 65, one less than Mike Dickinson and Matthew Nelson.

The Millenium Mixed medal at Prestbury was won by J and G Bickerton 66.0 from P Atherton and L Aitchison 70.0 and C and G O'Neill 71.0.
