VISITORS Heaton Mersey Village won the toss and opted to bat first against Macclesfield Fourth XI.
At first the innings seemed to be going well with the openers making a bright start, taking the score to 25-0 after four overs.
At that point though the wheels came off in spectacular style.
Firstly Bruno Smith-Lomas had Ullah caught by keeper Sam McDowell and in the next over Jack Kelly took a caught and bowled chance without a run being added.
The next over was eventful too as Smith-Lomas took two more wickets thanks to another catch by McDowell and a cleaned bowled.
The very next over saw a run out pulled off by Charlie Ackerley and the innings had gone from 25-0 to 25-5.
Rather than a recovery, soon after another wicket fell as McDowell took a third catch, this time off Kelly making it 27-6.
