Ten Hag hints at making at least one more signing before transfer window shuts
ERIK ten Hag has indicated United will make at least one signing before the transfer window closes on Friday.
The Reds are expected to bring in Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayindir as Dean Henderson is set to join Crystal Palace, while Ten Hag is keen on a left-back as Luke Shaw is expected to be sidelined for around two months with a muscular injury.
Although the Reds brought in Mason Mount to reinforce their midfield, they have been in the market for a second midfielder throughout the summer and Mount is out injured until next month.
Crystal Palace sporting director Dougie Freedman was in the directors’ box at Old Trafford for United’s 3-2 comeback win over Nottingham Forest yesterday and Henderson’s 12-year association with United has effectively ended.
