Dor opens on Amorim's new era with deal for £31m wing-back

PATRICK Dorgu is set to become United's first signing of the Ruben Amorim era.

The defender will sign for a reported £31.4million fee and offer competition to Luke Shaw, with Tyrell Malacia potentially set to depart before Monday's deadline.

The Dane should suit Amorim's 3-4-3 system, having played as a wing-back at Lecce.

Dorgu has made 23 appearances across all competitions for the Serie A club this season, scoring three goals and providing an assist. He has also made four appearances for Denmark, scoring once.

Amorim will now hope Dorgu can help his current team become more suited to how he wants them to play at M16.
