Water issue delays the opening of centre 'to transform rehab care'

THE opening of a £105 million NHS facility tipped to transform rehabilitation care across the country has been delayed.

The 70-bed National Rehabilitation Centre (NRC), which will help people recover from serious injuries and illnesses, was scheduled to admit its first patients this week, but has been held up by the quality of the water system, which does not meet safety and quality standards.
