Los Angeles Times

No charges were filed against high-speed project’s Ian Choudri, his attorney says.
CHOUDRI, right, was arrested a day after appearing with Gov. Gavin Newsom.
Ian Choudri, the chief executive of California’s High-Speed Rail Authority, was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery this month at his Folsom home, officials said.
The 57-year-old was arrested Feb. 4 on suspicion of battery against a spouse, Sgt. John Triplett of the Folsom police confirmed. The arrest occurred in the 500 block of Borges Court, where records indicate Choudri owns a home.
“The High-Speed Rail Authority is aware of the matter and is reviewing it,” a spokesperson for the agency said Monday in a statement. “We have no other comment at this time.”
