MARK CHAVEZ, shown last year, said, "My heart goes out to the Perry family."
Another physician who played a role in providing ketamine to Matthew Perry weeks before the actor's overdose death has been sentenced to eight months of house arrest by a federal judge.
Mark Chavez, a former doctor, pleaded guilty Friday to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine in October of last year. In his plea agreement, Chavez acknowledged that he and Salvador Plasencia — a former doctor sentenced this month to nearly three years in prison — colluded to deceive medical ketamine suppliers and illegally distribute the drug to Perry for profit.
Chavez, 54, was also sentenced to three years of supervised release after his house arrest and must perform 300 hours of community service.
