Chinese provinces launch joint initiative to protect migratory bird routes

Ten provinces and regions in China have jointly launched an initiative to protect the safety of bird migrations along their flyways.

Among the major north-south migration routes of migratory birds in China, the central route passes through 10 provinces and regions including northeast China's Jilin, east China's Jiangxi, south China's Guangdong and Guangxi.

One of the critical routes is the Suichuan Bird Migration Corridor in Jiangxi. Due to its unique geographical conditions, millions of migratory birds pass through the route every year.
