Staff member's immigration tirade in video

SEFTON Council says it is investigating after one of its workers was seen on a viral video ranting about immigration and making racist comments.

The council said it received a report from a concerned individual who flagged the video, and after reviewing the footage, confirmed the man is one of its staff members, and called what he said 'racist' and 'divisive'.

The video was uploaded and published to YouTube on December 4, 2025, by content creator, EmanRTN, who is seen in Liverpool city centre, asking people a series of general knowledge questions, but also covers other topics such as the state of the nation.

Approximately 51 seconds into the footage, the YouTuber starts speaking to a man sitting down on Lord Street. The man is wearing a Sefton Council hi-vis uniform and, later in the video, appears to be drinking a can of lager.
