BASTILLE'S DAN SMITH LOOKS BACK ON HIS BAND'S SUCCESS WITH CASEY COOPER-FISKE AND LAUREN DEL FABBRO

THE last 15 years have been a whirlwind for Bastille, one of the UK's biggest pop rock acts.

The songs that frontman Dan Smith started secretly writing on his laptop in the band’s early days spawned the global mega hit single Pompeii in 2013, and three number one albums. There has barely been time to pause and reflect since then.

“I think we've never really been a band that looks back that much, and that acknowledges or celebrates the things that we've done. We're always thinking about the next thing,” says the 39-year-old.

But now, the band - made up of Dan, keyboardist Kyle Simmons, bassist and guitarist Will Farquarson, and drummer Chris Wood, who formed in 2010, are pulling their five studio albums and four mix tapes together for a retrospective tour named From All Sides.
