Toffees could be RIGGED out with new faces

WITH the contracts expiring on no fewer than 13 Everton players this summer, it could be a much-changed Blues squad that moves into the new stadium next season - but just who might that personnel consist of?

- By CHRIS BEESLEY

Everton have got just one match left to play at Goodison Park against Southampton but major question marks remain about how many of David Moyes' current squad will still be lining up for them by the banks of the Mersey next term.

The Blues boss himself admitted it's far from an ideal number to juggle with, remarking: "It will be very hard to change this in one window. In fact, it will be impossible just about. If you've got 11 coming out of contract, that is too much."

Everton players currently approaching the end of their current deals are goalkeeping pair Joao Virginia (the club can trigger an option) and Asmir Begovic; defenders Seamus Coleman, Ashley Young and Michael Keane; midfielders Idrissa Gueye and Abdoulaye Doucoure; and striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

There are an additional five players whose loan periods end: Midfield quartet Orel Mangala, Carlos Alcaraz, Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom; plus striker Armando Broja.

The Blues have already been linked with a raft of potential signings with some links stronger than others.

Starting up front and working backwards, Everton would like to bring in a new acquisition to spearhead the attack.

With a reputed £30million release clause, Ipswich Town's Liam Delap who has netted a dozen goals for the Tractor Boys despite the Suffolk outfit heading straight back down to the Championship would fit the bill nicely.
