On that first visit back in March, on-loan pair Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom combined for a goal for the only time as they fashioned the equaliser in a 1-1 draw.

It was a timely moment given that in the buildup to the fixture, David Moyes had been asked about the failure to produce tangible reward in the final third and acknowledged that players in that part of the field unable to contribute numbers would have no longevity in his squads.

Despite this solitary success, it proved the case as they returned to parent clubs Leeds United and Napoli respectively.
