Molly 'learnt a lot' in clash with Cotton

BOXING Molly McCann says she learnt a lot about professional boxing during her fight against Ebonie Cotton on Saturday.
The former UFC star secured a points victory over Cotton to move to 2-0 in her fledgling professional boxing career.
The 35-year-old looked sharp in the opening rounds of the contest at the NEC Arena. A nasty clash of heads then occurred in the fourth round, leaving Cotton cut in the middle of the forehead.
Blood continued to flow from her head in rounds five and six, but to her credit, she dug in deep to ensure she heard the final bell. However, she couldn't do enough to prevent referee Ryan Churchill from scoring the fight 58-56 in McCann’s favour.
