Limpar loves seeing Jack back at the top

JACK Grealish is still one of the top five players in the Premier League and loves being the star man at Everton.

- By CHRIS BEESLEY

That's the verdict of former Blues winger Anders Limpar who was part of the club's last trophy-winning side in 1995 when they defeated Alex Ferguson's Manchester United 1-0 in the FA Cup final and was hailed by Joe Royle as being a “genius” - the most naturally talented footballer he ever managed.

Grealish became the first £100million Englishman when he moved from home city club Aston Villa to Manchester City in 2021, some six months after David Moyes declared that the Brummie was the Premier League's best player.

Despite having an integral role in the 2022/23 treble-winning side under Pep Guardiola that lifted the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup, Grealish found himself surplus to requirements at the Etihad Stadium this summer and was left out of the squad for the FIFA Club World Cup.
