LFC parade trial due to begin today

THE trial is due to begin today of a man accused of driving a car into crowds of people celebrating Liverpool FC’s Premier League title win.
Paul Doyle, 54, of Burghill Road in West Derby, faces a series of charges after the incident on Water Street.
More than 100 pedestrians, ranging from children to a 78-year-old woman, were injured after being struck by a Ford Galaxy shortly after 6pm on May 26 this year, with 50 people requiring hospital treatment. They were later discharged.
