Hope for the best as Birkenhead boast home success

HOPE Birley-Brown set the benchmark for the home club in the Wirral Metro Autumn Meet at Birkenhead with four golds, four silvers and two bronze.

Francesca Rick showed she is one of the emerging stars, picking up two golds, a silver and three bronze, with the up-andcoming Anna Fearon taking two golds and two silvers. Thomas Ball was in great form for Everton as nine personal bests brought him nine golds. He had good support from Dylan Harte, Eric Bao and James Grant.

It was a productive weekend for Bootle & North Liverpool's Nalika Mortimor with seven golds, six silvers and a bronze.

Sasha McNabb took three golds and six silvers.

Bridgefield again took a plethora of medals with Summer Melvin, Niko Dorsz and Emilia Sharratt leading the way.
