Harkin's gold rush in record-breaking Masters

A FANTASTIC weekend at the Swim England National Masters Championships in Sheffield saw Warrington Masters’ Ben Harkin take gold in the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke, setting British records in both the 100m and 200m events.

Club colleague Clive Roberts took gold in the 400m and 800m freestyle, with Spencer Glover a gold and three silvers.

Carl Barkley grabbed agold anda silver with Russ Mason a gold and bronze.

There was a gold for Gerald Kelleher in the 200m butterfly with the club taking eight golds, 10 silvers and seven bronze in total.

Bebington's Andrew Dobbing got off toa great start with gold in the 1,500m freestyle and followed that up with gold in the 400m individual medley and silver in the 800m freestyle.

Helen Jenkins was in great form for Southport ending the weekend with three golds, a silver anda bronze.
