THOUSANDS of partygoers are expected to descend on a Merseyside woodland as the Restricted Forest Festival confirms its return to Orrell Hill Woods in Hightown, near Formby.

The modern electronic music festival began in the early 2020s as a small grassroots woodland rave created by local promoters and has since developed into a large annual event featuring multiple stages, professional production and thousands of attendees.
