'Firm wasting money on its tactics to break strike'

BUT HOUSING BOSSES HIT BACK AT UNION CLAIMS IN PAY DISPUTE

A MERSEYSIDE housing firm is wasting money on strike-breaking services in an attempt to undermine its own workers, union bosses claim.

Earlier this month, hundreds of workers at Livv Housing (LH) voted to escalate strike action which could result in six more months of disruption for thousands of tenants.

LH disputes the “union-busting” claim and said contractors providing some of its services are simply part of its “delivery model”.

Staff at the Knowsley-based housing association voted in favour of industrial action over a proposed pay offer last summer.

Workers have walked out for several strike days in the hope of securing improved terms from LH.
