'Cops thought Rovers lock-in with Deidre & Ken was hoax'

COUPLE SAY THEY FOUND THEMSELVES STUCK IN FAMOUS WAXWORKS ATTRACTION

A MERSEYSIDE couple called the police after finding themselves stuck inside a popular tourist attraction after closing time.

Stephen Robinson, 48, and his wife Michelle, 44, had gone to Blackpool for a day out.

While there, they decided to visit Madame Tussauds.

Stephen said they had a “great time” walking around the world-famous wax museum - they enjoyed a drink at the venue's recreated Rovers Return and took pictures with the lifelike recreations of the Royal family and celebrities.

But as the couple attempted to leave, they said everything appeared to be locked up and the lights turned off. Stephen said they realised they'd accidentally been locked inside as the museum closed for the day.
