CROSBY DELIGHTED TO SEE ROVERS HIT FORM

- By LOUIS PARR Tranmere Reporter

TRANMERE boss Andy Crosby says his side's 4-1 win at Bristol Rovers was the perfect reaction to last Saturday’s result against Barnet.

The Whites have struggled for form in recent weeks, with victory over The Pirates being their first league triumph since August.

He said: “It was a great response to an extremely disappointing performance at home to Barnet.

“Lots of words have been spoken but we knew it was about actions not words and today’s display was really good.

“There were lots of very impressive individual performances, too. They've obviously got a lot of flexibility, and they stretched us in different ways to how we thought they would do.

“But we had a plan, and all the credit goes to the players for sticking to it.”

The result leaves Tranmere 18th in the table and brings an end to a seven-game winless run in League Two, with Crosby believing Saturday's change in fortunes was down to the rise in performance levels.
