EVERTON have confirmed the first major non-football event at their new stadium.

Blues to host Rugby Ashes

The Blues' future home will host a rugby league Ashes test between England and Australia on November 1 with the fixture returning after a 22-year absence.

Having played at Goodison Park, the first purpose-built football ground in England, since 1892, Everton will relocate to their new 52,888 stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock after their fixture against Southampton in May.

The Mersey waterfront venue will host the second test with the three-match series starting at Wembley Stadium London on October 25 and ending at AMT Headingley in Leeds on November 8.

The matches will be played on three consecutive Saturday afternoons with each kicking off at 2.30pm and shown live on BBC One in the UK.

Season ticket and premium members at Everton Stadium will have the opportunity of securing their tickets or access to the bars, restaurants and experiences for the historic fixture as part of the priority sales window.

Members will be contacted by email to confirm how they can secure their seats in the coming days.
