POLICE CONTINUE TO APPEAL FOR DASHCAM FOOTAGE
THIS is the first picture of a "beautiful" woman who was killed in a hit and run incident last week.
Emergency services were called to Longmoor Lane at around 4.15pm on Friday following reports a dark-coloured vehicle had hit a pedestrian near the junction with Third Avenue in Fazakerley.
Police said on Friday night the 81-year-old woman, who lived locally, had "gone to the shops" when she was struck by the driver, who fled the scene. The woman has now been formally identified as Margaret Perry.
Margaret suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital where she later died.
Police said her family is being supported by specialist officers as the investigation continues.
