|October 02, 2025
THE two teams who last season contested the top of Division One of the Leicester and District League have started well
Loughborough Unicorn, who were second last season, had a 10-0 victory over Desford Village to stand top at the moment on sets average.
Robin Pearce, Abhishek Sudhakar and Geoff Parsons were all in uncompromising form.
Defending champions Knighton Park had to work a little harder to beat their own second team 7:3, with Chris Rogers laying the foundations with a maximum, while James Berry won two and Tony Smith one.
There were two for the second’s Jacub Kurowski and one for Catherine Lv.
Another local derby saw KP’s third team beat the fourth 10-0 with Karen Smith, with Pawel Szumlanski and Maurice Newman in top form.
