Vets staff left feeling 'unsafe' after break-ins

A VET said her team has been left feeling “unsafe and unsettled” after three break-ins at her practice since August.

Dr Rachael Wallace said the incidents have caused untold damage to her business.

Dr Wallace is the clinical partner at Medivet, in Forest Road, Loughborough.

The first break-in occurred in August, when thieves stole medical supplies worth £5,000 after breaking in through a back window.

The same window was used when thieves targeted the building on Wednesday, November 5.

The practice was broken into a third time on Monday, December 1.

Dr Wallace, right, said: “The first time, they broke in just after we locked up, and they took about £5,000 worth of pet medications and the petty cash from the till. They went right through the building and dropped cigarette butts everywhere.”
