ELITE-LEVEL sport will continue to suffer if changes are not made in relation to climate change, a leading Loughborough University academic has warned.

Dr Jamie Kenyon, Lecturer in Sport Management, said problems caused by rising temperatures at last year's Paris Olympics and this year's World Athletics Championships in Tokyo could now become the norm.

“The challenges of a changing climate in respect to the international sporting calendar are not a distant concern,” said Dr Kenyon, pictured.
