Skipp has found his ideal role in City team

MIDFIELDER IS NOW LIVING UP TO HIS £20M TRANSFER FEE

NOBODY in the Leicester City lineup on Saturday cost the club more than Oliver Skipp and that £20 million price-tag, perhaps unfairly, brings expectations.

They are expectations that Skipp has mostly been unable to meet in his City career so far.

But the midfielder has now enjoyed maybe his best couple of weeks at the club and there’s more hope than ever that he could progress into a player that justifies the fee.

Skipp filled in manfully at centre-back in the second-half comeback attempt against Sheffield United two weeks ago and since then he’s played every minute.

Harry Winks’ exclusion has opened up a spot at the base of the midfield and Skipp has filled it very well, producing arguably his best two City performances in the wins over Derby and Ipswich.

So, where is it going right? For the most part, Skipp is simply doing more of everything.
