LEICESTER City are running short on senior defenders ahead of their trip to Southampton with Marti Cifuentes needing a new solution at left-back

Luke Thomas earned his fifth yellow card of the season in the win over Stoke so is suspended for the clash at St Mary's tonight (8pm kickoff).

With Victor Kristiansen sidelined following knee surgery, City have no recognised senior left-backs.

But the problems in defence don't end there.

Ben Nelson is out with an ankle issue while City are waiting on scan results for Caleb Okoli, who was substituted with a shoulder injury and a knock to the head at Norwich.
