Memorial trophy will help players sharpen their skills in mid-season

This is the final official fixtures week of the first half of the season, although there will be a number of matches to catch up.

So, a good month or so of rest and recuperation ready for the second half, although many of the players will be looking for some form of play and will not be content with simply knocking up.

Enter the Phil Reid Memorial Trophy.

After taking a break from organising it for many years, Andy Wright is back at the helm and looking forward to attracting as many as possible into this popular handicap singles competition played in groups initially.

The winners go through to a finals night, all held at Knighton Park Table Tennis Club.

Phil Reid is rightly honoured by this event, having been an veritable stalwart who died far too early just over 40 years ago.
